Why buy one?
Having somewhere to pop your baby when you need a bit of hands-free time can be useful, and if it’s somewhere where your baby can let off a bit of steam too it’s a bonus! Many sit-in activity stations have a bouncing function, where your baby can make the seat spring up and down by jumping up and down, great for giving them a bit of exercise before they can walk or crawl. Another option is a door bouncer, which is a device that’s hung from a doorway with a harness-style seat to place your child into.
What to spend
A door bouncer is a cheaper option ringing in around at around £20. Activity bouncers cost more and are often on sale for as much as £100, but have the added benefit of having lights, buttons and other features for your baby to play with.
What to look for
Always check the age and weight range before you use one of these devices for your child as used incorrectly they can be dangerous. You should never leave your child unattended in one either.
