We’ve compiled a list of 20 unique baby boy and girl names, influenced by some of the world’s greatest designers, which we hope will spark some baby name inspiration. 

Abram - Abram Games was a British Graphic designer, whose design career blossomed during World War 2 with the work of his war posters and Post-war Festival of Britain logo.

Alec - British Automobile designer, Alec Issigonis, created the best-selling, Morris Minor and popular Austin Mini.

Antoni - Take a trip to Barcelona and you’ll be sure to stumble upon some of the great architectural work of Antoni Gaudi, the Sagrada Família, being his biggest and most famous works where he is now buried. If you’re after flamboyance, much like his designs, Antoni could be a great name for your baby boy. Or go with something slightly safer but still unique and choose Toni for your little girl.

Arne - Danish designer and architect Arne Jacobson is probably most famous for his minimalist but effective chair designs such as the egg. If you’re after effect with your baby name, Arne could be the name for you.

Rennie - Scottish, artist, designer & architect Charles Rennie Mackintosh is widely recognised for his Art Nouveau architectural and furniture designs. Just like his work, the girl or boy's name Rennie, would be sure to stand out from the crowd.

Coco - The French fashion designer, Gabrielle Bonheur, AKA "Coco" Chanel needs little introduction. Why not take inspiration from the luxury brand for your baby girls name?

Eero - The Finish American, Eero Saarinen was famous for his midcentury architecture and furniture design. 

El Lissitzky - El Lissitzky was a Russian artist & designer who played an important part in the Russian avant-garde. For something a little more individual, El could make a great name for your baby girl.

Ernő - The brutalist buildings of Ernő Goldfinger such as the Trellick and Balfron Tower can be spotted on a trip round London today. If you wanted to go bold like his buildings, Erno could be the baby name for you.

Lucienne - The British textile designer, Lucienne day’s, classic mid century designs are widely recognised today. If you’re after artistic flair, Lucienne is a great name for a girl or boy.

Ludwig - Regarded as one of the great figures in architecture, Ludwig Mies van der Rohe’s ‘less-is-more’ approach to design was a huge influence on modern architecture. A name like Ludwig would certainly set your baby boy apart from the rest.

Milton - A hugely successful American graphic designer and founder of Pushpin Studios, Milton Glaser created such works as the I ❤ NY logo and the psychedelic Bob Dylan poster.

Orla - If you love Irish designer, Orla Kiely's, retro designs you might be persuaded to name your little princess after this feminine and quietly popular baby name.

Ray - Inspired by American designer Ray Eames who famously designed  the Eames chair with husband Charles, Ray or Rae could make a unique baby name for your little girl.

Renzo - Voted one of the top 100 most influential people in the world, architect and engineer designer Renzo Piano might also influence your choice of baby name if you’re looking for something more unusual for your little boy.

Saul - Another great graphic designer and filmmaker, Saul Bass is famous for his movie title sequences and film posters. A name that is sure to empower any baby boy.

Dixon - The popular surname of contemporary designer Tom Dixon could also work as a unique first name for your little girl or boy.

Varvara - The Russian artist and designer Varvara Stepnavo is associated closely with the Constructivist movement in the early 20th Century.

Vera - An elegant and under-the-radar name for your little girl inspired by fashion designer Vera Wang.
