If you've seen our top baby names results you’ll know that here in the UK, the most popular boys names included Jack, Oliver and Charlie. While Amelia, Olivia and Emily proved extremely popular for girls.
But what about across the pond? We decided to take a look at the most popular US names of 2014 and give you some fresh ideas for baby names to fuel your inspiration.
Biblical names continue to prove popular in both the UK and the US, with Noah coming in top of the boys names, along with Ethan, Jacob and Elijah in the top 10. The top girls names from the US are Zoe and the variation Zoey, with other popular names including Abigail and Amelia (the most popular girls name in the UK too!)
Some unusual and unique names that are popular in the US include Logan, Jackson and Aiden for boys and Madison, Layla and Harper for girls.
A number of more traditional baby names have also proven popular including boys names Michael, Alexander and Matthew and Emma, Charlotte and Elizabeth for girls.
